All the items are brand new，however the genuine TESLA cells are from dismounted MODEL 3 car as TESLA won't sell them directly. However，since they are rated for 300.000 kms on cars，on bikes such mileages will never be an issue

The price of batteries should be computed as $/Wh when you compare it against other batteries.
Of course，build quality，warranty and BMS are also important to be considered.
A 52V is slightly faster，always 3.0->4.2V faster than a 48V battery，it has more energy and more range and that translates to about 2-3km/h faster

The BMS we are using is COMMON PORT，that means the Dx2C and Dx3C can be used and both Bx4 and Bx5 can be charged through the charging feature of the DATE DxC device，at peace of mind，in parallel (at the same time) with a single charger.
That is why we have created the DATE BCx3 charger 600W and dual voltage 48V / 52V to cover all the usage scenarios，especially the 10A fast charging. When you charge both batteries at the same time that would translate in approx 5A per battery.

The 21700 form factor is bigger than the 18650 and that makes the aluminium metallic case of the battery not to be possibly fitted. However，after one year riding with a TESLA battery we are happy with the result，increasing the available energy into the same form factor: INSIDE the FRAME!
Although is possible，it is NOT recommended that the TESLA would be taken out on a daily basis out of the frame to be charged. Instead，charging it inside the frame is recommended.

Another reason we went for the 21700 cells other than the capacity is that the 18650 cells doubled their price in the past year，which would make the battery $/Wh rating ridiculous expensive.

You can always ride with two batteries and MAKE use of your existing battery，regardless it is 48V or 52V.
With DATE Dx you can combine them both at peace of mind，regardless of their voltage，capacity，chemistry，form factor or state of charge.

The DATE Dx2 allows you to safely join two batteries at the same time.
The DATE Dx3 allows you to safely join up to three batteries at the same time.
Both can have the optional charging option. Should your BMS of your batteries have common port，then you can charge your both batteries through the Dx2C/Dx3C charging port，at peace of mind with a single charger.

The DATEx2 stands for "DATE your batteries x 2 to produce more power and range"
The DATE Dx2 allows you to SAFELY connect two batteries in parallel while the DATE Dx3 allows up to 3 batteries，and ride with them at the same time，all connected.

By doing this，it will BOOST your:
- RANGE: in practice，if I get 30 miles with one battery and 30 miles with the second one，by joining them together via the DATE Dx2 I will get 70 miles. Of course，there are many factors that determine range，but this is an real-world example that we have experienced，on flat terrain，same route with the same rider.
- AVERAGE SPEED: The voltage SAG (drop) when you riding with two batteries will be cut in half. For example instead of 6V it will drop to 3V. When you ride with 3 batteries it will drop to 2V accordingly. Therefore，you will always ride with 3/4V faster than with a single battery.
- POWER: these 3/4V means also that you will get more power. 3V * 30A => 90W and 4V * 30A = 120W respectively!
- even more RANGE! Now if you lower the max current a bit e.g. from 30A to 28A you will get the same power as before


Important!!! (Not applicable to MATE X since all of the motors don't have motors)
Please check that your bike / motor has REGEN. The DATE Dx devices are the opposite concept to REGEN and only allow the batteries to discharge and not allow them to talk to each-other and/or to accept current generated by the motor / controller.
Hence，by using a REGEN capable motor with DATE Dx devices most likely will generate a higher voltage that will cause your controller and/or display to be fried!

The DATE Dx devices are NOT compatible with REGEN MOTORS/controllers，since they are opposite concepts.
However，for every other non-regen eBikes out there，you are good to go and enjoy the extra benefits on your bike ;)

2WD - two wheel drive is the best upgrade you can do to your bike and surely one that will bring you the most FUN of your bike!

This implies upgrading your existing rear wheel to our workshop so we can adjust it (cut & machine modify it) in a way that perfectly fits the front fork 135mm drop-out.

By riding 2WD will give you amazing acceleration and double the torque you currently have.
The front motor should always be less power than the rear motor or for the best performance identically，but not more powerful than the rear motor.

Of course，2WD = more power which needs to be fed by your (two or three batteries) via the DATE Dx2-60A or DATE Dx2C-60A.
A single battery is not enough to feed both motors.

The 2WD system means having two motorized wheels both in the rear and in the front of the bike.
We can either upgrade your existing rear wheel into a front wheel (you will need to ship it to our workshop first)，or you can just buy a rear wheel with the motor included - whereas the freewheel / cassette is not important.

With all the 2WD setups we strongly recommend the DATE BRx2 203mm rotors as bare minimum brakes，or the DATE BMx3 MAGURA MT5e proper brakes with 220mm front / 203mm rear rotors.


For example，you can get the DATE BFx3 1000W as a rear motor and your BAFANG 750W motor as a front motor - or simply get a complete JB750W wheel and have both shipped to us.


All of the DATEx2WD motors are DATE Mx3 temp protected so there is no risk of frying them out.

How it works?
Just as you expect it should! PLUG & PLAY FUN!

You just swap your existing controller with the upgraded controller and swap your wheels with the upgraded wheels.

We can ship only the upgraded front wheel when you buy it from us e.g. DATE BFx3 / DATE BFx2 / DATE JBx2 together with the appropriate controller - and in that case you don't need to send us anything. However，only the front motor will be temp-protected in that case.

Please bare in mind that 2WD is recommended for OFF-ROAD / private road / mountain trails etc. and not public roads since it is not street-legal in the most countries.

The recommended setups are:
DATEx2WD-JBx2-750W (two JB 750W motors) - fastest speed setup -
51-57kmph，50A / 2.4kW of power. Both motors MUST be JB 750W and DATE Mx3 temp protected.
Recommended when you already got a JB750W rear motor.

DATEx2WD-BFx2-750W (two BAFANG 750W) - powerful，but not as fast，adequate acceleration setup
40kmph，60A / 3.0kW of power. Both motors MUST be DATE BFx2 / BAFANG 750W and DATE Mx3 temp protected.
Recommended when you already got a Bafang750W rear motor and you don't need higher speeds.

DATEx2WD-BFx3-1000W (two BAFANG 1000W) - most powerful setup，fastest acceleration and most powerful setup
45kmph - 70A / 3.6kW of power. Both motors MUST be DATE BFx3 / BAFANG 1000W and DATE Mx3 temp protected.
Recommended when you want to upgrade both motors to 1000W and get the most power of all.

DATEx2WD-BFx3-1000W-BFx2-750W (one BAFANG 1000W rear and one BAFANG 750W front). Very powerful setup.
45kmph，nice acceleration and lots of power.
Recommended setup when you have already upgraded your rear motor to 1000W and you want to make reuse of your existing Bafang750W motor. The JB750W is not recommended in the front of this setup sine will speed faster and will cause unwanted skids and the overall top speed will be the same as of the rear motor.
